This is an opportunity for an experienced Software Test Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team working on large-scale, technically challenging systems.
You will be responsible for validating software quality, identifying and resolving defects, and ensuring solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
The Role You will work closely with software engineers, technical specialists and customer stakeholders to plan, execute and improve testing across secure environments.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing test strategies, plans, scripts, cases and supporting documentation
Executing functional, integration, system and regression testing
Investigating, reproducing and documenting software defects
Communicating technical issues clearly to engineering teams and stakeholders
Testing systems hosted across internal and external environments
Using product knowledge to conduct investigative and exploratory testing
Adapting test approaches to suit different stages of the delivery lifecycle
Contributing to technical discussions, engineering practices and continuous improvement
Supporting the deployment and integration of bespoke and commercial software components

About You
You will bring at least three years' experience in software testing, systems integration or a related engineering environment.
You will ideally have:
Experience translating functional and non-functional requirements into effective test cases
Strong experience writing test plans, test cases and test reportsExperience across functional, integration, system and regression testing
Experience working in secure or restricted environments with limited tooling
Knowledge of CI/CD practices and contemporary software delivery processes
Experience using defect and test management tools
Strong Linux experience, preferably within RHEL environments
Hands-on experience with networking tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump
Experience deploying, integrating or supporting systems involving bespoke and COTS components
Experience with scripting, object-oriented programming, test automation frameworks or Cross Domain Solutions will be highly regarded.
You do not need to meet every listed requirement.
Candidates with strong core testing experience and a willingness to develop in additional areas are encouraged to apply.
