About the role
Axsa Group NT Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced
Handrail & Balustrade Installer
to join our growing team.
This is a
full-time position
based in
Berrimah.
In this role, you will be responsible for the professional installation, fabrication, and finishing of handrails and balustrades across a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
You will play a crucial part in ensuring that all installations meet safety standards, building codes, and client specifications, whilst maintaining the high quality standards that Axsa Group is known for.
Key responsibilities
Install handrails and balustrades to specifications, ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and safety regulations
Measure, cut, and fabricate handrail and balustrade components to precise measurements and design requirements
Prepare surfaces and undertake finishing work, including grinding, welding, and applying protective coatings
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols and site requirements
Assist with problem-solving on site to overcome installation challenges and ensure client satisfaction
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Handrail & Balustrade Installer or in a similar metal fabrication and installation role
Strong knowledge of handrail and balustrade systems, materials, and installation techniques
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Competency in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade
Experience with welding and metal fabrication techniques
Current driver's licence and reliable access to transport
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
