CCGT is looking for a 1st Year Concrete Pool and Landscape Construction Apprentice to join a small construction team working across Newcastle and surrounding areas.This is a hands-on role where you'll help build custom concrete pools and landscaped outdoor areas.
The Host Employer works on high-value projects with detailed designs, so you'll be learning on real jobs that require care, effort and quality work.
No previous construction experience is needed.
You just need to be reliable, practical and ready to learn.You will be employed by Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) and placed with the Host Employer for your day-to-day work.
CCGT will support you throughout your apprenticeship while you complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Landscape ConstructionThis is a full-time role, generally working 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Some overtime may be required.What You'll Actually Be DoingYour first few months will focus on learning site safety, getting familiar with tools and materials, and helping the team with day-to-day construction tasks.As your skills grow, you'll start learning how to:Assist with concrete pool constructionHelp with landscape construction tasksPrepare worksites, materials and toolsCarry,



move and organise materials safelySupport excavation, formwork, concreting and site preparationUse hand tools and power tools safelyFollow instructions, plans and site processesKeep worksites clean, safe and organisedYou will not be expected to know everything on day one.

Current first-year apprentice rates are:$***** per hour, or approximately $****** per week for Under 21, not completed Year 12$***** per hour, or approximately $****** per week for Under 21, completed Year 12Rates are before tax and based on 38 ordinary hours per week.
Your exact rate will depend on the applicable apprenticeship classification and will be confirmed before an employment offer is made.
Superannuation and any applicable overtime, penalty rates and allowances are paid in addition.
