We're looking for a Casual Payroll Specialist to join our supportive and collaborative team, working alongside our experienced Payroll Officer to ensure the smooth and accurate delivery of payroll services across the business.

About the Role
Working approximately 3 days per week,
you will provide payroll administration support and assist with a range of payroll-related activities.
You will work closely with our Payroll Officer and broader HR team, helping to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining payroll records and responding to employee enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll processing
Maintain employee records, payroll data and leave records
Support the accurate processing of new starters, employee changes and terminations
Assist with timesheet collection, validation and payroll data entry
Support payroll reconciliations and reporting activities
Calculate allowances, overtime and other payroll-related payments
Respond to employee payroll enquiries in a timely and professional manner
Assist with maintaining compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements and legislative requirements
Support month-end payroll administration activities including superannuation and payroll reporting
Generate payroll reports as required
Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems
What Will Make You Successful
Recent MicrOpay experience is essential.
Applicants must have hands-on experience using MicrOpay Payroll Software within the last 3-5 years, including end-to-end payroll processing in an Australian payroll environment.
Candidates without recent MicrOpay experience will not be considered.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good numerical and data entry skills
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Strong communication and customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with Award interpretation and applying relevant policies and procedures.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
