Head / Lead Propagator - Andreasens Green Wholesale Nurseries

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year

About the Role

As the Head / Lead Propagator, you will take ownership of propagation activities, ensuring that cuttings are produced on time, to the highest industry standards, and within budget. You will oversee a skilled team, mentor trainees and apprentices, and play a key role in shaping the next generation of nursery leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership
Supervise, coach, and mentor staff to achieve targets.
Conduct annual competency testing and oversee training.
Manage performance, attendance, and workplace behaviours.

Propagation & Site Operations
Deliver cutting schedules on time and to specification.
Maintain optimal plant health across all propagated stock.
Oversee nursery facilities including irrigation, heating, and Priva systems.
Ensure materials (cuttings, plugs,



chemicals, tools) are available and maintained.

About You
Certificate III in Horticulture (or trade equivalent).
ChemCert AQF 3 & 4 and current First Aid Certificate.
Demonstrated experience in plant propagation and nursery operations.
Robust leadership and mentoring skills.
High attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to work proactively and start early to prepare for team operations.
