We're looking for a qualified
Casual Mechanic
to join our Launceston team and help keep our Tasmanian fleet safe, reliable and road-ready.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working across a diverse fleet of passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles.
Working closely with our Fleet and Operations teams, you'll play an important role in ensuring our vehicles are serviced, maintained and repaired to the highest standard, helping minimise downtime and keep our customers moving.
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain and repair our fleet of passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults efficiently and safely.
Complete preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections.
Attend off-site repairs and breakdowns when required.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workplace health and safety requirements.
Contribute to a safe, clean and organised workshop.
About You




You're a qualified mechanic who enjoys working independently while contributing to a collaborative team, takes ownership of your work, and is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
You'll bring:
Trade qualification as an Automotive Mechanic (or equivalent).
Experience servicing and repairing passenger and light commercial vehicles.
Diesel engine experience (highly regarded).
A proactive approach with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Sound literacy, communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
A solid understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements and safe work practices.
The ability to attend off-site repairs when required.
