The Opportunity
Due to our sustained growth, we are currently seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Minerals Processing Brownfields team located in Adelaide.
If you're a self-motivated, results-driven individual passionate about developing your engineering skills and experience, this role is for you.
This position reports directly to the Mechanical Team Lead and involves developing mechanical design solutions and associated design deliverables on projects from concept through to detailed design for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical engineering scopes on projects and guide the application of standard engineering techniques and proceduresPerform and/or review mechanical and piping design calculations and analysisDevelop and/or review technical specifications, datasheets, engineering scopes and other design documentationDevelop complex mechanical and piping design solutionsLead the selection and procurement of equipment,
manage vendor packages and integrate vendor data into the engineering designManage the budget and schedule for the delivery of the mechanical engineering and drafting scope on projectsSupport continuous improvement of engineering standards, systems and processesCoach and mentor junior engineers on technical aspects and project delivery
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
The candidate must demonstrate the following attributes;
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) Minimum 10 years' experience in a design/consultancy environment within Resources or Energy & Chemicals IndustrySound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices Demonstrated experience working on multi-discipline projects and leading the mechanical scopeSound understanding of project management principles and controlsAbility to lead a small teamAbility to work and make decisions independently Solid verbal and written communication skills
