SEN Teaching Assistant
Billingham
£95-£110 per day
Full Time | Monday to Friday | September Start
Veritas Education are recruiting on behalf of a specialist primary setting in Billingham for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 from September.
This is a long-term opportunity within a well-resourced school supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties and PMLD.
The Role:
Providing 1:1 and small group support
Supporting pupils with communication, sensory and learning needs
Encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviours
Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning setting
What We're Looking For:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) would be advantageous but not essential
Patient, resilient and caring approach
Backgrounds in education, care, support work or youth work welcomed
Strong communication and teamwork skills
