About the Role:
Burnie Brae is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Café Allrounder to join our welcoming team at Café Connect on a casual basis.
The position will involve working a variety of hours.
Our Café Allrounders serve our customers with exceptional customer service and assist with the preparation of food and beverages.
Café Connect is a vibrant café located at Burnie Brae, Chermside.
The café operates Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 2:30pm and provides the local community with a friendly meeting place to enjoy quality tea and coffee plus freshly baked sweet treats and light meals.
Providing exceptional customer service and assistance to all customers
Making coffee, tea, and cold beverages
Assisting with food preparation and short-order cooking of light meals
Quality control
Cleaning of the café and kitchen
Taking orders and payments
End-of-day closing and banking
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience working in a similar role
Have great availability Monday to Friday and be available for 7.00am starts
Experience with short order cooking
Experience completing basic food preparation
General knowledge of Australian Food Safety Standards
Exceptional customer service skills and friendly demeanor
Excellent presentation
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to problem solve
Ability to work autonomously and as a supportive team player




Hold a current National Police Check (or the ability to obtain)
