Safety, People & Site Coordinator - Food ManufacturingSeeking Safety, People and Site Coordinator - ManufacturingRole Overview:This position combines workplace safety, people & culture support, facilities management, and operational administration within our Melbourne manufacturing site.Working closely with site leadership and supported by the Head of People & Culture and HR team, this role plays an important part in maintaining a safe, organised, and people-focused workplace while supporting a positive employee experience and site culture.We are a highly people-focused business that values teamwork, wellbeing, and connection.This role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, builds strong relationships, and thrives in a hands-on environment.Workplace Health & Safety (Approx. 30%)Develop and maintain WHS policies, procedures, and protected work instructionsConduct safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessmentsLead incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and safety records managementCoordinate return-to-work and injured worker management processesCoordinate WHS inductions for employees, contractors, and visitorsDeliver toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness initiativesOversee emergency management planning, evacuation drills, and equipment complianceLiaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, contractors, and emergency services as requiredPeople & Culture / HR Support(Supported by Head of People & Culture and HR Senior Officer)Recruitment & OnboardingCoordinate onboarding activities including police checks, pre-start medicals, inductions, and training completionEnsure employee documentation and compliance records are completed and maintainedSupport recruitment activities and onboarding preparationEmployee Support & HR AdministrationProvide first-level support for employee queries, leave processes, and HR administrationMaintain employee records, training matrices, and HR systemsAssist with performance review coordination and employee documentationSupport employee wellbeing, engagement,



and site culture initiativesMaintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive mattersFacilities ManagementManage contractors and suppliers for building maintenance and site servicesOversee essential services and AESMR compliance activitiesManage waste, utilities, cleaning, gardening, pest control, and general site upkeepCoordinate office supplies, site consumables, and maintenance activitiesEnsure facilities, amenities, and shared spaces are maintained to a professional and safe standardTraining, Documentation & Operational SupportCoordinate site training activities including GMP, safety, onboarding, and compliance trainingMaintain training records and training matrix documentationSupport the creation, review, and tracking of SOPs, work instructions, and operational documentationSupport QMS documentation control and tracking activitiesSupport production, engineering, warehouse, quality and supply chain teams with operational administration and coordinationManage procurement of site consumables and operational supplies, ensuring stock availability and cost controlProvide general operational and administrative support across teams as requiredSupport quality, compliance, and continuous improvement activities across the site as requiredAbout YouCertificate IV in Work Health & Safety (required)Previous experience in workplace safety or WHS coordination is requiredExperience coordinating return-to-work and injured worker management processes is highly regardedExperience in administration, HR support, facilities, or operational support preferredStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesConfident communicator with a practical and proactive approachAble to work autonomously while building positive relationships across teamsHigh level of professionalism and confidentialityWhy Join the Team?
