Waverley General Practice is seeking an experienced part time Medical Receptionist (3–4 days per week) to join our friendly, supportive team.
This position is available for an immediate start, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.We are a well-established, independently owned (non-corporate) general practice with 17 GPs, supported by a range of Allied Health professionals and Specialists.
We pride ourselves on providing high-quality patient care in a modern, welcoming environment with a strong team culture.About the roleShifts are rostered between 7:30 am and 8:00 pm, Monday to Saturday.
Flexibility to assist with annual leave, sick leave,



and occasional Saturday shifts is essential.Key responsibilitiesAnswering incoming telephone callsGreeting and checking in patientsScheduling appointmentsProcessing billing and accountsResponding to general patient enquiriesTaking and relaying messagesProviding exceptional customer service to patients and practitionersAbout youTo be successful in this role you will have:Previous medical reception experience in a general practice (essential)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong computer skills and the ability to learn practice software quicklyThe ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organisational and time management skillsA compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach, particularly when assisting vulnerable or anxious patientsReliability, flexibility, and the ability to work well within a teamWhy join us?
