About the Opportunity
A Full-Time position is available for a Registered Mental Health Nurse at Fulham Correctional Centre.
Part-Time opportunities may be available upon discussion.
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the primary objective of the Registered Mental Health Nurse is to enhance suicide prevention programs and strategies at the Fulham Correctional Centre.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Define and maintain the standard of nursing practice within the Correctional CentreDevelop mental health nursing care plans for prisoners with a P ratingCoordinate and undertake physical and mental health assessments on all recent receptions entering the Correctional CentreDevelop and implement suicide / self-harm strategies and regularly assess their effectiveness
Salary on offer:
Full-Time 109,****** p.a.Part-Time $***** p/h
Skills & Experience
To succeed in the role, you will possess the following:




Completed Psychiatric Registered Nurse trainingCurrent AHPRA registrationProfessional post graduate experience as a Psychiatric NurseCompetence in the performance of medical emergency, physical assessment, crisis intervention, medical & psychiatric nursing care and venipuncture preferableAbility to work without direct, immediate supervision in performing psychiatric evaluationsProviding appropriate follow through treatmentDemonstrated knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, GEO's AffInformation Technology knowledge and skills relevant to role
