A respected solo practitioner Cardiologist located based at Greenslopes Private Hospital is seeking the expertise of an experienced Medical Secretary to join the small team.
The successful candidate will be required to work 4 days per week.This is a permanent part time position working 32 hours per week.
The rooms are open Monday through Thursday.
There would be some flexibility to work from home on days other than Wednesday.As this is a critical support position within the practice and you will be required to work with little supervision at times, it is imperative that you are an experienced candidate with relevant private practice specialist knowledge.
Previous cardiac experience is strongly preferred.Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):Meet and greet of patients visiting the practiceTaking all incoming patient enquiries in a timely and skilled mannerPreparing and running patient clinicsProcessing patient billing and receipting (for both consultations and inpatient stays)Scheduling and confirmation of patient appointmentsLiaising with private hospitals, patients, families and a variety of other medical professionalsA small amount of medical typing (the practice is currently supported by dragon dictation)Use of Gentu software, Eclipse and MS Office (Word and Outlook)To be considered for this role, you will have:At least 3-5 years experience in a similar position working within a private practice specialists roomsExperience using Gentu or other medical softwareEnthusiastic and positive attitude, a high level of initiative and resilienceExceptional ability to prioritise and multi-taskExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSolid time management and organisational skillsReliable, punctual and flexible with hours to suit the teamAbility to work with little supervision, in collaboration with other team membersCompassionate and caring attitude to be an integral part of the medical care journey for patients and their relatives
