Working within a dynamic maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency and safety of plant and equipment across a large-scale manufacturing environment.About the RoleReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding, machining, fabrication and repair work on a variety of mechanical equipment and assets.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, repair and overhaul of mechanical plant and equipmentCarry out precision machining, fitting and fabrication activitiesDiagnose mechanical faults and implement effective solutionsComplete preventative maintenance tasks to minimise downtimeInterpret technical drawings, specifications and maintenance documentationMaintain a strong commitment to workplace health,



safety and environmental standardsCollaborate with operations and maintenance teams to achieve production targetsTo be successful in this role you will possessTrade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or equivalent mechanical tradeDemonstrated experience in industrial, manufacturing, mining, sugar milling or heavy engineering environmentsStrong machining, fitting and fault-finding skillsExperience working with pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, rotating equipment and hydraulic systemsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamA proactive approach to safety and continuous improvementCurrent driver's licenceWhat's on OfferPermanent full time employmentStarting at $*****/hr, increasing to up to $50/hr following a successful assessment periodCompetitive salary and overtime opportunitiesSupportive team environmentOngoing training and career developmentOpportunity to work within a large and established industrial operationLifestyle benefits of living and working in the beautiful Whitsunday region
