What you'll be doingThe Pharmacy Assistant/Technician provides technical support to the Pharmacy Department in all areas of hospital pharmacy practice under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.Selection CriteriaDemonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities required to work in hospital pharmacy.Recognised qualification in the field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or qualifications deemed by SNSWLHD to be equivalent (as per award) will enable appointment as a Pharmacy Assistant Grade 2 (Cert III) or a Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 (Cert III) or Pharmacy Technician Grade 2 (Cert IV).
If no recognised qualifications held, appointment will be as Pharmacy Assistant, Grade 1.Effective communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients and within a healthcare team.Demonstrated organisation skills,



meeting deadlines, attention to details and ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to effectively use computer programs relevant to the hospital/pharmacy systems.Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain.
Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires.
