About this jobSecondary SEN Teaching Assistant - Burnley Veritas Education RecruitmentLocation: Burnley, Lancashire Salary: Competitive rates of pay (£90-£120 per day, depending on experience) Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time Opportunities Available Start Date: Immediate and Ongoing OpportunitiesAbout the RoleVeritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across secondary schools in Burnley.
This is a rewarding prospect to make a positive impact on the educational journey and personal development of young people aged *****.Working closely with teaching staff and SENCOs, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN.Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.Encourage student independence, confidence, and participation in learning.Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.The Ideal Candidate Will HaveExperience working with children or young people with SEN, either in schools or alternative settings.A patient, caring,



and resilient approach.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, SEN, psychology, or youth work (desirable but not essential).
