Working within a residential mental health service, you will provide practical and emotional support, promote wellbeing and independence, and contribute to a safe, welcoming and recovery-focused environment.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleBased at our Kelmscott residential service, you will work as part of a supportive team helping people navigate mental distress, build life skills and develop meaningful pathways towards recovery.
The role is hands‐on, rewarding and varied, requiring strong communication skills, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to person‐centred practice.Key responsibilities include:Supporting people to achieve their recovery goals and implement their recovery plansProviding practical and emotional support in a residential settingSupporting people to develop life skills, confidence and independencePromoting emotional wellbeing and helping people navigate periods of distressEngaging with family members, carers and significant others where appropriateMaintaining accurate documentation and case notesParticipating in team meetings, supervision, training and quality improvement activitiesContributing to a protected, welcoming and recovery-oriented environmentDesired Skills and ExperienceAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:A sound understanding of recovery‐oriented and person‐centred mental health practiceExperience working in mental health, community services, disability, residential services or another relevant human services settingThe ability to support people experiencing mental distress with empathy,

Applicants must be available to work the roster.
