Our client is seeking experienced and motivated Registered Nurses with a strong background in acute surgical nursing to join a busy inpatient ward. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians who thrive in fast-paced environments and are confident managing post-operative patients with varying levels of acuity.
About the Service
This large hospital is recognised for delivering complex and specialised care across a wide range of surgical disciplines.
The surgical service supports a high-volume caseload including colorectal, upper GI, gastroenterology, urology, gynaecology and/or orthopaedics, with a strong focus on evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary collaboration.
You will be working within a well-established surgical ward environment, supported by experienced clinicians and solid leadership.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse within the Surgical Ward, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive,
patient-centred care across the pre and post-operative continuum.
You will manage a varied patient load, including complex surgical cases, and play a key role in early recognition of deterioration and ongoing recovery.

About you
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an acute inpatient surgical ward
Proven ability to manage post-operative patients independently
Experience with surgical drains, wound management and post-op recovery
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to recognise deterioration
Ability to prioritise and manage a busy patient load
Exposure to colorectal, GI, urology, gynaecology and/or orthopaedics highly regarded
