As a Support Worker, you'll help people with disability achieve their goals, maintain their independence, and feel empowered in their everyday lives.About the RoleWe're seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team supporting a participant in Mount Vernon.
This is a casual ongoing chance providing consistent 1:1 support across weekday shifts.
You'll play an key role in supporting the participant to maintain their independence, access their community, and receive personalised support that meets their individual needs.ShiftsMonday 6:00pm – 10:00pmThursday 8:00am – 5:00pmWhat You'll Be DoingSupporting the participant with domestic assistance and household tasksProviding community access support and assisting with social participationBuilding a positive and respectful relationship with the participantSupporting the participant to achieve their everyday goals and maintain independenceWorking collaboratively with family members and the broader support teamSupporting positive behaviour approaches and following individual support plansProviding practical assistance tailored to the participant's needsAbout YouExperience supporting people with disability, including individuals with behaviours of concernA caring,
