Norella Disability Support Services is growing, and we're recruiting casual Support Workers across Merrylands, Liverpool, Campbelltown and surrounding areas.These are regular, ongoing rosters not scattered one-off shifts.
We match workers to participants deliberately and keep those matches stable, because consistency is what makes support actually work.We support people with a wide range of needs, including physical disability, psychosocial disability and complex health support requirements.
Full details of each role are discussed at interview.What you'll be doingAssist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation and household tasksProvide support in line with each participant's individual plan, including health care plans where applicableAssist with mobility, transfers and manual handling using approved techniques and equipmentPrompt and support medication as authorisedProvide emotional support and build a trusting, respectful working relationshipSupport community access, appointments, and social and recreational participationLiaise with families, carers, allied health professionals and support coordinatorsMaintain accurate progress notes and incident documentation in line with NDIS Practice StandardsEnsure a secure environment for participants at all timesWhat we're looking forMinimum 1 year experience in disability, mental health or aged care supportCertificate III in Individual Support (Disability)



or equivalentNDIS Worker Screening Check and completed NDIS Worker Orientation ModuleCurrent First Aid and CPR certificateValid driver's licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicleDemonstrated manual handling competency and a good standard of physical fitnessStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPatience, empathy and genuine respect for participant choice and independenceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliability and consistency, our participants value familiar workersHighly regardedExperience with mobility equipment, hoists and transfersEpilepsy awareness and seizure first aid trainingCertificate IV in Mental Health, or Mental Health First AidUnderstanding of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practiceExperience supporting participants with complex or high intensity support needsWhat we offerPay in line with the SCHADS Award (Social and Community Services stream), plus casual loading and applicable penalty ratesPaid induction and ongoing trainingGenuine flexibility around your availabilityAccess to our Employee Assistance ProgramDirect access to management, we're a small team and you won't be a numberAbout usNorella Disability Support Services is a Sydney-based NDIS provider delivering person-centred disability and aged care support across Greater Sydney.
