Sunshine Sugar's Condong mill are currently taking applications for a full time Cane Supply Operator (CSO).

Work on a rotating 12 hour roster during our crushing season (June - Dec) and enjoy a 9 day fortnight in the off season (Jan - May).
The role:
We are looking for a Cane Supply Operator (CSO) to support the efficient delivery and processing of sugar cane at our Condong mill.
You'll work closely with harvesting groups, transport and milling operations to maintain a consistent flow of fresh cane to the mill.
This role plays a key part in coordinating cane supply, ensuring accurate weighing and recording of deliveries, and monitoring automated receival and tracking systems to support accurate grower payments.
It also involves routine cane sampling and testing to support payment calculations, factory performance, and process analysis.
During periods of non-crush (January – June) the CSO will not be in their usual role and will perform other duties as required and or qualified, such duties may include providing relief in the store, laboratory or labouring and trades roles.
Key responsibilities include:
Logistics coordination and scheduling of harvesting and transport operations to align with milling and processing activities
Monitoring automated cane receival and tracking systems to ensure accurate recording and payment of deliveries
Conducting routine laboratory testing for grower payments and process analysis (no prior lab experience required - training provided)
Supporting other operational areas during the non-crush (January – June), which may include relief work in the store, laboratory or trades / labouring roles (dependant on skills).




We're seeking someone with a can-do attitude who enjoys juggling multiple moving parts and has a strong willingness to learn.
We are looking for
Experience in logistics coordination or scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing or agricultural setting
Willingness to learn laboratory techniques and participate in analytical testing
Commitment to safety and a positive workplace culture
Ability to work effectively in a team and follow directions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organised and able to multitask
Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry system
Ability to work in an environment with frequent exposure to noisy, wet, greasy and/or humid conditions, as well as heights
Flexibility to work rotating shifts as part of a 7-day / 24-hour operation and respond to overtime requirements
Trades skills, high-risk licenses, or other relevant qualifications are an advantage (but not essential).
