Employment Type: Temporary Full Time until 31 January ****Position Classification: Advanced Trainee Remuneration: $117,645 - $147,538Hours Per Week: 38Requisition ID: CAM***** - Sleep Medicine - Advanced TraineeLocation: St George Hospital, KogarahSupercharge your training at St George Hospital What you'll be doing As an Advanced Trainee in Sleep Medicine and Respiratory Failure at St George Hospital, you will deliver specialised care across the full spectrum of Sleep and Respiratory Failure medicine.
This fully RACP-accredited 6-month training position offers the opportunity to work within a complex, high-volume multidisciplinary setting, providing evidence-based care to both inpatients and outpatients referred from across the local health district and beyond.
You will play an important role in delivering high-quality clinical care while supporting the coordination of integrated patient management across hospital and community settings.The role includes a combination of clinical, teaching and research responsibilities designed to further develop your expertise in Sleep Medicine and Respiratory Failure.
You will contribute to departmental quality improvement activities and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
This position is ideally suited to a motivated trainee committed to compassionate patient-centred care, ongoing professional development, and excellence in education, research and continuous improvement.

St George Hospital and Health Services is an accredited, principal teaching hospital of the University of New South Wales.
It is the largest hospital within South Eastern Sydney Local Health District with 627 inpatient beds.
St George Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Centre and a leading centre for trauma and emergency management in NSW.
The hospital's proximity to Sydney airport makes it a vital service providing first response to the airport precinct.
The hospital is in Kogarah, 14 kilometres south of the Sydney CBD.
It is well serviced by buses, trains and major roads.
The area is well known for its cosmopolitan cafes and restaurants, as well as its food and cultural markets which showcase the distinct flavours and traditions of Kogarah's multicultural community.
Selection Criteria MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of AustraliaCompleted the FRACP Division Written and Clinical Examination.Demonstrated interest in Sleep and Respiratory Failure medicineProven capacity and/or experience in the provision of effective high quality Respiratory and Sleep Medicine services,



demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position including evidence of participation in quality improvement activities.Ability to work independently within supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise.Commitment to participating in training and development to further develop skills and knowledge in the area of Sleep and Respiratory Failure medicine.
