Rubber Liner / Mechanical Trade AssistantAn established Western Australian engineering company is seeking a motivated Rubber Liner / Mechanical Trade Assistant to join its busy workshop based in Naval Base.
Specialising in rubber lining, conveyor maintenance and related industrial services, this role offers secure, ongoing employment in a well-equipped workshop.
About the RoleWorking alongside an experienced team, you'll assist with rubber lining, conveyor belt splicing, protective coatings and general mechanical workshop duties, delivering quality solutions for clients across the mining and industrial sectors.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety and a willingness to learn and develop their skills in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare steel surfaces for rubber lining and protective coating applications.
Install and apply rubber lining, polyurethane and protective coating systems.
Assist with conveyor belt splicing and rubber lining activities.
Measure, mark out and cut rubber materials to specification.
Safely operate hand and power tools.
Read and follow job cards, drawings and work instructions.




Maintain high standards of housekeeping and comply with workplace health and safety procedures.
About YouTo be successful, you will ideally have:
Previous experience as a Rubber Liner, Belt Splicer, Mechanical Trades Assistant or similar industrial role.
Experience within mining, manufacturing, processing or heavy industry environments.
Exposure to rubber lining, conveyor maintenance or protective coating systems (highly regarded).
Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Current Driver's Licence.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen.
A strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
