Support Your Way is seeking experienced disability support workers to join our growing team across Melbourne's inner-city suburbs, including Melbourne CBD, West Melbourne, North Melbourne, Docklands, Carlton, Parkville, Kensington and surrounding areas.Support Your Way is a disability-led organisation that provides practical, respectful and person-centred support to people with disability.
Our support workers play an key role in helping participants build independence, maintain routines, access the community and receive safe support at home.About the roleWe are currently recruiting experienced support workers for casual roles across Melbourne's inner-city suburbs.Shifts may include afternoons, evenings, weekends, active nights, sleepovers and other times depending on participant needs.Support may be provided in the participant's home or out in the community.Tasks may include:Personal careDomestic assistanceMeal preparationCommunity access and transportSocial supportSupport with daily routinesFollowing support plans and behaviour support strategiesWhat we are looking forWe are looking for support workers who are experienced,



reliable and confident working with participants who may have complex support needs.The following experience is highly valued:Disability support experienceExperience supporting participants with behaviours of concernExperience following behaviour support plansConfidence with personal careCalm, patient and respectful approachReliable attendance and availabilityAbility to build positive professional relationshipsWillingness to follow routines, plans and workplace expectationsTraining can be provided where needed; prior experience in disability support is strongly preferred.RequirementsSuccessful applicants must have or be willing to obtain:National Police CheckFull Australian Driver's LicenceFirst Aid and CPR CertificateWorking with Children CheckNDIS Worker Screening CheckNDIS Worker Orientation Module CertificateMedication Administration CertificateWillingness to complete in-house training and professional developmentFlexibility to work a range of shift times
