Medical Receptionist for Specialist Medical Clinic Casual/PPT
We are looking for someone to join our friendly and motivated team.
A medical receptionist is the liaison between patient and doctor and is crucial for a seamless, smooth clinical operation and for maintaining an exceptional standard of care to our patients.

For 2-3 days per week, weekday roster.
This is an opportunity for a permanent part time position.

The successful candidate will be friendly and work well in a busy team environment, be highly motivated, friendly, enthusiastic, reliable, diligent and organised.
Key responsibilities
Reception duties: meet and greet patients, answer phones, schedule and manage appointment bookings
Liaise with patients, follow up patient enquiries, recalls and tasks
Attend to patients attending for phototherapy/ procedures / set up rooms
Work closely with doctors, practice manager/receptionists, nurses and dermal clinicians
Candidate profile
Be professional and friendly with impeccable customer service skills
Have superior interpersonal, organisational,



time management and teamwork skills
Have strong communication skills and respect for patients and their privacy and information handling
Have a proven track record (please provide references) and relevant experience in a medical practice is a positive
Have a willingness to learn on the job, be versatile and enjoy a busy teamwork environment
Have knowledge of Medicare and billing processes
Be experienced and trained in medical software (preferably Genie)
Have experience in a Dermatology, Cosmetic or Plastic Surgery clinic (is desirable)
Have solid communication skills and respect for patients and their privacy and information handling
Have strong attention to detail, ensuring closing the loop and checking tasks completed
Understand all roles and responsibilities of medical practice stakeholders
Having experience with phototherapy is desirable
Have availability to work 2 -3 days per week Monday to Friday, in particular Wednesdays and Fridays.
Have ability to open or close shifts (745am open, 5 to 6pm to close).
Flexibility to cover potential additional shifts would also be beneficial.
Hours to be negotiated.
Have no restrictions on residency and have the right to work in Australia
Have a current working with children check, national Police check completed or evidence of application
