Department of Families, Fairness & Housing VIC – Melbourne VICRegional locations available: Swan Hill, Hamilton, Horsham, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Bairnsdale, Sale, Warragul, MorwellAs an advanced child protection practitioner,you willreceive and assess reports of alleged abuse and neglect of children and young people.Conduct investigations and develop plans to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
This may include taking matters to court.
You will often be dealing with more complex cases and willoperatewith an increased level of autonomyappropriate forthe role.CommencementSalary of $100,894 to $114,476 per annum (plus superannuation)Access to free Child protection wellbeing program (CPWP) and child protection health program (CPHP) designed to support the wellbeing of child protection staffGenerous leave provisions, 20 days of annual leave, 15 days of personal/carers leave, an extra 5 days of additional leave after 12 months of serviceChild Protection Practice Induction Program delivered over 5 weeks, to equip new starts with the necessary practice knowledge and skillsRegional benefits, retention allowance of $2,500 for child protection practitioners that live in certain regional locations.
