Advanced Smiles is seeking a Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team in Oakleigh South, VIC on a part-time basis.
This role combines administrative and clinical support, making it an excellent chance for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic healthcare environment.
You will be instrumental in creating a welcoming experience for our patients whilst providing essential support to our dental professionals.
Your contribution will directly impact patient satisfaction and the smooth operation of our practice.What you'll be doingOn the day you are allocated to reception you will be greeting patients and managing reception duties, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records, answering phones, processing patient payments and managing billing enquiriesOn the day you are allocated to dental assisting you will be assisting dentists and prosthetists during clinical procedures, including instrument handling and patient comfort measuresPreparing treatment rooms and sterilising dental instruments according to infection control protocolsMaintaining a clean and organised clinic environmentCommunicating with patients regarding appointment reminders and treatment informationSupporting the wider dental team to ensure efficient daily operationsManaging stock levels and maintaining inventoryOrdering dental supplies and ensuring the practice is well organisedWhat we're looking forExperience working as a dental assistant, receptionist or in a similar healthcare support roleStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to make patients feel at easeExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailProficiency with dental practice management software and general computer skillsKnowledge of infection control procedures and health and safety standardsAbility to work flexibly as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentA friendly, professional demeanour and genuine passion for patient careWhy Join Advanced Smiles?
