Job Description
We are currently seeking 100 workers for banana and pawpaw farming across multiple farms located in Innisfail and surrounding areas of Far North Queensland.
Positions are available in the packing shed (packing, sorting, clustering, hanging, dehanding) and in the farm field (stringing, picking, and general farm work).
Employment is available for up to 9 months.
Work Hours and Pay Rates Workers usually average around 30 hours per week.
Level 1: $* per hour.
Level 2: $* For workers with more than 3 months' experience in the horticulture industry, or after completing 3 months of employment.
Pay rates are set under the Horticulture Award (Australia).
Start Date and Work Hours
Suitable candidates are able to start anytime following consultation with management.
Standard work hours: 06:30 am – 4:00 pm.
Transport
Company transport is available to and from the farm (charges may apply).
Workers may also use their own transport.
Travel time is approximately * minutes between the farm and accommodation.
Accommodation Workers may arrange their own accommodation.
Company accommodation is available at a reasonable cost (subject to availability and conditions).
Safety This is a physically demanding role, involving tasks such as bending, lifting bananas, and other repetitive work.
