Our client is a privately backed, rapidly growing real estate investment and funds management platform with an active pipeline of major Australian property transactions.This is an opportunity to join a lean, highly experienced investment team and work directly with the Managing Director across acquisitions, financial modelling, transaction execution and portfolio strategy.The successful candidate will gain genuine principal-side responsibility - helping determine where capital should be invested rather than simply advising on or facilitating transactions.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess new real estate acquisition and investment opportunitiesBuild and maintain detailed acquisition, DCF, leveraged return, debt and equity modelsUndertake asset, market, tenant, lease and comparable-transaction analysisEvaluate investment returns, financing structures and key commercial risksCoordinate due diligence with valuers, lawyers, lenders, agents and technical advisersPrepare investment committee papers, investment memoranda and senior management presentationsSupport acquisitions, disposals, restructures and recapitalisationsMonitor portfolio performance against acquisition assumptions and business plansContribute to fund strategy, asset planning and long-term investment decisionsAbout YouYou will ideally have approximately three to five years of experience within one or more of the following:Investment banking, preferably covering real estate,
real assets or infrastructureBuy-side real estate investment or acquisitionsCorporate finance or transaction advisory with meaningful property exposureYou will also bringAdvanced Excel and financial-modelling capabilityExperience with DCF, IRR, NPV and debt and equity return analysisExposure to acquisition, joint venture, development, fund or portfolio modellingExperience assessing institutional-grade real estate transactions, ideally above $50 millionThe ability to form an investment view and prepare a clear recommendationStrong written communication and PowerPoint skillsCommercial judgement, intellectual curiosity and excellent attention to detailThe confidence to work directly with senior decision-makers in a lean, entrepreneurial environmentA relevant qualification in finance, commerce, economics, property or a related disciplineExperience using Forbury and progress towards the CFA qualification would be advantageous but are not essential.Why Consider This Prospect?
