About the Role
Seasonal employment opportunities have become available for the **** cane crushing season at Mackay Sugar.
The season is expected to run from early June and will end approximately December ****.
Mackay Sugar is particularly eager to receive applications from people who have a passion for the Sugar Industry and have a solid desire to see the local industry thrive.
Factory Positions
Fugal Operator
Yard Attendant (Cane Receiving)
Effet/Clarification Plant Attendant
Process Attendant - Forklift Ticket Required
Day Cleaner (Day Shift)
These positions report to the Shift Supervisor and are responsible for the efficient and effective operation of both mobile & fixed plant support equipment within and associated with the Factory; as well as maintaining housekeeping standards within the relevant work area.

Adequate mechanical aptitude
A current and valid Australian Driver's License.
Must Hold Full working rights within Australia
Ability and willingness to work shift work - we are a 24/7 Operation during the Crushing Season
An adequate level of physical fitness, such as lifting and carrying objects,
climbing stairs and ladders.
Availability for duration of crushing season.
