About the Role
To support the operational activities at the Aramex Townsville depot by performing key tasks such as forklift operations (loading, unloading, and cage movement), monitoring linehaul for safety, coordinating parcel sorting and scanning, and maintaining a clean and organized depot.
Key responsibilities include:
Sort and process freight accurately and efficiently
Scan freight using handheld scanning devices
Dispatch freight using computer-based freight management systems
Conduct freight tracking and scanning activities to ensure accurate records
Provide operational support by covering courier runs as required
Complete courier deliveries and freight pickups using a company van
Safely unload freight cages from trucks using a forklift
Assist with general depot operations and housekeeping duties




Work independently and demonstrate initiative in a fast-paced environment
Learn and adapt to new processes and responsibilities
Collaborate effectively with team members and provide excellent customer service
To be successful in this role:
Good physical fitness
A reliable, trustworthy, and positive attitude
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills and procedures
Good time management and organisational skills
A professional phone manner
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
A current Class C (or higher) driver's licence with a clean driving record (essential)
A forklift licence
You will need your own reliable vehicle, a current full driver's licence with a good driving record, and a current forklift licence with proven forklift operating experience.
