About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a permanent full-time basis.
Based in Belmont and reporting to the Finance Manager – Community, this is a key commercial finance role supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
A key element of this position is leading the financial component of tender submissions and commercial proposals.
You will work closely with operational leaders to develop pricing models, prepare financial analyses, and ensure tender submissions are commercially robust and financially sound.
In addition, you will take ownership of the annual budgeting and forecasting process for your portfolio, providing meaningful financial insights and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive business performance.
This role is suited to a commercially minded management accountant who enjoys working independently, can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can take ownership and deliver outcomes.
What You'll Do:
Lead the financial development of tender submissions, including pricing models, cost analysis, commercial assessments, and financial input into proposals.
Develop robust financial models to support tenders, business cases, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.
Lead the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts,
and long-term financial plans in partnership with operational leaders.
Partner with senior leaders, Heads of Department, and the Executive Team to review financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support achievement of operational and financial objectives.
Prepare and present meaningful financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Facilitate regular finance review meetings with stakeholders, ensuring accountability for financial outcomes and follow-up of agreed actions.
Complete month-end journals and perform variance analysis to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results by Working Day 4.
Review and challenge business cases, capital investment proposals, and commercial opportunities to ensure sound financial outcomes.
What You'll Need:
CPA or CA qualification.
Demonstrated experience preparing financial components of tender submissions, including pricing, financial modelling, commercial analysis, and costing.
This is essential.
Strong experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of outcomes with minimal supervision.
Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing commercial decisions through financial analysis.
Advanced financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
A robust understanding of accounting principles and their practical application in a complex commercial environment.
Experience in a management accounting or commercial finance environment.
