About the role:
Juniper Riverslea, located in Mount Lawley, is seeking a Personal Care and Activities Assistant (PCAA) to join our supportive residential aged care team and help deliver meaningful, person-centred care to our residents.
In this role, you will support residents with their daily living needs, social engagement, and overall wellbeing, combining personal care with meaningful activities that enhance quality of life.
You will help create a welcoming and supportive environment where residents feel valued, respected, and able to live with dignity and purpose.
This role is ideal for someone with empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for aged care, who enjoys building relationships and making a positive difference in people's lives every day.
The successful candidate will be required to work the following shifts:
Week 1 and 2: Wednesday 9:30 to 17:30, Thursday 9:30 to 17:30
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meal assistance
Support residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities
Facilitate engaging group and one-on-one activities tailored to customer interests and abilities
Assist with transport and mobility to and from activities (if required)
Monitor and report any changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour to clinical staff
Maintain accurate documentation and care/activity records
Promote dignity, independence, and respect in all interactions
Work collaboratively with the care team, families, and allied health professionals
Key Requirements:
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community) or equivalent qualification
Current First Aid & CPR certificate
Manual handling and infection control training
Robust interpersonal and communication skills, including with people living with dementia
Experience providing personal care in aged care, disability, or community settings
Ability to plan, deliver, and adapt activities to support physical, social, and emotional wellbeing
Compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity
