About Rural Health West
Rural Health West aims to improve access to quality healthcare for rural communities through the provision of a highly skilled, motivated and sustainable medical, nursing, midwifery, dental and allied health workforce.
We are a not-for-profit organisation primarily funded through WA Country Health Service and the Australian Government Department of Health.
The role: 9 Month Contract (Full-time or Part time available).
This is a newly introduced role to the business and will be responsible for leading a comprehensive review of Rural Health West's organisational systems, processes and operational practices to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness and organisational performance.
Working across all areas of the organisation, the role analyses current workflows, systems and responsibilities to identify duplication, inefficiencies and gaps, while developing practical recommendations that align with Rural Health West's strategic objectives.
The position works closely with managers, staff and the Executive Management Committee to support continuous improvement, informed decision-making and sustainable organisational change.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a review of organisational systems, processes and workflows to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness and alignment with strategic objectives.
Analyse business practices, organisational structures and role responsibilities to identify duplication, inefficiencies, gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Develop practical, evidence-based recommendations to strengthen organisational performance, optimise systems and improve the use of data and technology.
Collaborate with managers and staff to understand current work practices, facilitate stakeholder engagement and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Assess organisational data management practices and recommend improvements to support effective governance and compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Prepare reports and present findings and recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Management Committee.
Support the planning and implementation of approved improvements through change management and implementation planning where required.

To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrated experience leading process improvement or business transformation initiatives.
Strong systems thinking capability and the ability to analyse complex organisational environments.
Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies, duplication and opportunities for improvement.
Highly developed communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in business process improvement or operational reviews.
Experience working within the health, community services or not-for-profit sectors.
Experience supporting organisational change or transformation initiatives.
