Who we're looking for:
We're seeking an ambitious, personable, organised and driven media sales representative to join our commercial team.
The role can be tailored to fit either an early career or mid-career role for the right person.
We are looking for someone seeking a long term career path in the media, is genuinely excited by the Perth business and media landscape, and has the confidence and energy to get in front of clients and make things happen.
You will work closely with our Division Head of Sales, developing the craft of media sales while contributing real revenue from day one.
You will manage your own client relationships, develop your own pipeline, and be given real responsibility early.

This role is to be worked from The POST newsroom in Shenton Park Monday to Thursday with option WFH on Friday.




Remuneration and sales commission commensurate with the candidate's experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Client Development
Prospect for new advertising clients across local businesses, agencies and community organisations
Manage a portfolio of existing client accounts, building strong, lasting relationships
Present POST's advertising products and sponsorship packages confidently and persuasively
Prepare proposals, follow up on leads and close sales in a timely manner
Meet and work towards exceeding monthly and quarterly revenue targets
Championing the POST's mission and values to new and established clients
Market & Product Knowledge
Develop a thorough understanding of POST's print and digital advertising products
Stay across the Perth media landscape, including competitor activity and local business trends
Understand client businesses well enough to propose solutions that genuinely serve their marketing needs
Team & Brand
Work collaboratively with the broader POST commercial and editorial team
Represent POST in market with professionalism and genuine enthusiasm for independent journalism
Contribute ideas for recent revenue opportunities, packages and partnerships

You are the kind of person who picks up the phone rather than sends another email.
You are genuinely interested in Perth — its businesses, its communities, its media — and you want to be part of telling its story.
You don't need years of media experience to succeed in this role.
You do need energy, self-belief, a willingness to learn, and the resilience to keep going when a prospect says no.

Familiarity with Perth's western suburbs and coastal communities and business landscape
