The Royal Flying Doctor Service is seeking a full time Practice Nurse to join their team.
About the role
Deliver high-quality primary health care nursing services, including assessment, triage, immunisations, chronic disease management, wound care, recalls, infection prevention, cold chain management and accurate clinical documentation.
Coordinate and facilitate student clinical placements through supervision, orientation, preceptorship, feedback and collaboration with GUDRH and university partners to support positive learning outcomes.
Work collaboratively with General Practitioners and the broader practice team to support safe patient care, accreditation requirements, quality improvement initiatives, digital health systems and effective practice operations.
About the practice
The RFDS WA Goldfields Health Centre provides safe, evidence-based primary health care through a multidisciplinary general practice model.
Working alongside General Practitioners, the Practice Manager, Aboriginal Liaison Officer, allied health professionals, students, the Goldfields University Department of Rural Health (GUDRH) and broader RFDS WA clinical teams, you will help deliver accessible, culturally safe and person-centred care to the Goldfields community.
Experience and qualifications required
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, Bachelor of Nursing qualification, current CPR certification and a current Australian Driver's Licence.




Demonstrated experience in general practice, rural, emergency or community nursing, with the ability to deliver comprehensive, patient-centred primary health care services.
Nurse Immuniser qualification (or recognised immunisation certification), with strong clinical judgement and a commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with confidence using Best Practice, HotDoc, AIR, My Health Record and other digital health systems.
Experience in clinical facilitation, student supervision, preceptorship or clinical education (or a willingness to develop these skills), with experience in rural and remote nursing, Aboriginal health, RACGP accreditation, clinical audit or quality improvement activities highly regarded.
