About the RoleOur government partner is seeking multiple experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineers to support a large-scale cloud modernisation program delivering secure, scalable and highly automated Azure platforms.This role is ideal for senior engineers with deep expertise across Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform and Azure DevOps, combined with strong DevSecOps practices and experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.Working within a highly skilled engineering team, you will help design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure, automate deployment pipelines, improve operational resilience and embed security throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build and maintain Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms.Engineer and support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container-based workloads.Provision and manage Azure services including App Services, Azure Container Registry, Key Vault, Storage Accounts and Azure data services.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.Design and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps YAML and GitHub Actions.Implement DevSecOps practices including automated security scanning and compliance validation.Configure Azure networking, firewalls, private endpoints and virtual networking.Implement and maintain monitoring,



logging and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights and Prometheus/Grafana.Manage Azure identity, RBAC and managed identities using Microsoft Entra ID.Ensure cloud platforms comply with Essential Eight and ISM security requirements.Provide Level 2 and Level 3 operational support and incident resolution.Produce technical documentation including runbooks, infrastructure diagrams and disaster recovery documentation.Mentor engineers and contribute to knowledge transfer and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills & ExperienceMinimum five years' experience designing and supporting enterprise Azure cloud platforms.Strong experience working within Azure Landing Zone environments.Extensive Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) administration experience.Experience with Azure Container Apps (ACA).
Advanced knowledge of Azure networking and platform services.Strong experience developing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps YAML.Experience integrating security scanning into DevOps pipelines (SAST, DAST and container image scanning).
Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform including modular design and remote state management.Extensive Docker and Kubernetes experience including Helm.Experience securing and managing container registries.Solid scripting skills using Python, Bash, Azure CLI and/or PowerShell.Experience working within DevSecOps environments and secure cloud engineering practices.Excellent stakeholder communication and mentoring skills.
Desirable SkillsExperience implementing GitOps delivery practices.Experience with continuous delivery tooling.Knowledge of service mesh technologies including Istio or Linkerd.Experience with advanced Azure Key Vault or HashiCorp Vault implementations.Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-400.Red Hat certifications including RHCE or EX280.
