Heavy Diesel Mechanic - FIFO - Mount Magnet WA
We're currently looking for a trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join an underground hard rock maintenance team at an operation near Mt Magnet, on an 8:6/7:7 FIFO roster.
This is a high-grade UG operation running dual decline access with stoping via up-hole benching.
The site operates 365 days a year and is serviced by an airstrip located on site - fly direct with no road transfers required.
The role: You'll be servicing and maintaining a variety of underground fleet including Sandvik development and production drills, CAT loaders.
You'll be working on current tech, not clapped-out machinery.
What you'll need:
Trade qualified in a diesel mechanical trade
Strong mechanical knowledge, with hydraulic and electrical systems experience
Ability to read schematics and drawings
Comfortable working autonomously
Can-do attitude, willing to learn
Advantageous (not essential):
UG hard rock equipment experience
Drill servicing background
Dual trade - diesel fitter/auto electrician
Pay & conditions: $*****-$*****ph + Super, depending on experience.
Accommodation & site facilities: Contemporary camp with ensuite rooms, aircon,



and B2B room share.
On-site laundry, Telstra reception, store, BBQ area, rec facilities, cinema/TV room, and a well-equipped gym.
Camp is a 5-minute bus trip to site.
Mount Magnet township is close by with an IGA, public pool, tennis/squash courts, and pubs.
