About Us
Meeka Metals Limited (ASX:MEK) owns and operates Western Australia's newest gold mine – the Murchison Gold Project, located 50 km north of Meekatharra.
The project comprises both open pit and underground mining, with an initial mine life of 9 years.
Gold production commenced in July **** and site activities are rapidly ramping up.
We are seeking an Underground Geological Technician to support the Geology team onsite.
About the Role
The role will assist in core yard activities, XRF scanning at the Andy Well lab and assist with field work as required
Face sampling and chip sampling in underground headings
Full time night shift roster
Assist geologists with mapping and mark-up of development faces
Assist geologists with geological drive direction decisions
Sample preparation and QAQC handling underground
Transport and management of underground samples
Assist with drillhole sampling (UG diamond / grade control where required)
Assist with collection of XRF data using a portable handheld device (training and certification supplied on site)
Maintain accurate sample records and documentation
Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe, and organised
Work closely with underground mining crews and geology team
The position is offered on a permanent night shift roster.
About You
Experience in underground sampling (face sampling,



chip sampling preferred)
Exposure to underground mining setting
Strong attention to detail and sample quality control
Good communication skills and ability to work with geologists and operators
Computer literacy (Excel, logging systems, email
A current manual Australian Driver's licence
Current (less than 6 months old) National Police ClearanceCurrent (less than 6 months old) National Police Clearance
