ERM is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant / Consulting Director to join our Resources team, focusing on the provision of resource estimation and mining geology services to the global mining sector.
As Principal Consultant / Consulting Director, your leadership, client relationships, and technical consulting skills will support the growth of ERM's business and client base.

Requirements critical to successful performance:
High standard of technical geological knowledge of one or more commodities (gold, lithium, copper, bauxite, iron ore, etc.)High level of Mineral Resource estimation skillsGood knowledge of at least one mining software package (Micromine, Datamine, Surpac, Leapfrog, Isatis etc.)Ability to develop and manage client relationships and networks within the resource sectorAbility to work independently or in a team environmentAbility to take direction and complete assigned tasks to a high standardStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to take direction and complete assigned tasks at the highest standard and within budgetStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, and OutlookFlexibility with hours and work locations.

Experience:
15 + years geological/mining/resource estimation experienceStrong technical knowledge of resource estimation processesDemonstrated ability to manage client relationships in a consulting environmentThorough knowledge of JORC reporting requirements and codes from other jurisdictions (NI******, SAMREC)Strong knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment for resource management.Machine Learning skills would be highly regarded
Qualifications:
Tertiary degree in Geology; (MSc, PhD highly regarded)Member of skilled geoscientific organization (AusIMM, AIG, Competent Person status for at least two commodities)Possess a current unrestricted 'C' class driver's licenseDesirable to possess a current Senior First Aid Certificate.
Key Duties:
Validation of drill hole and other geological data upon receipt from clientReview of quality assurance procedures and quality control data provided by the client3D Modelling of geological features to support Mineral Resource estimationStatistical and geostatistical analysis of dataGrade interpolation using appropriate techniquesValidation of grade interpolationReporting of Mineral Resource estimation results in accordance with the JORC Code (or other international codes as required)Site visits (domestic and international) and laboratory inspections as requiredWillingness to act as Competent Person under the JORC Code where appropriate Willingness to assist with corporate assignments (due diligence, independent technical assessments) as requiredAssistance with integration of resource estimation activitiesUndertake business development and manage client relationshipsAttend professional development training as requiredAttend conferences or technical seminarsTravel on short notice.
