About the
role:
Wade into an exciting and

We're looking for a
project officer to work across a variety of sites and projects to
improve the health of the wetlands and floodplains along the SA
River Murray.

What you'll bring
to the role:
The ability to
quickly learn recent skills, adapt to diverse fieldwork
situations, and apply scientific principles to solve real-world
challenges.
Excel at building
genuine relationships with a wide range of stakeholders while
working collaboratively as part of a small, focused
team.
Previous experience
in ecology and the ability to apply ecological principles to
wetland environments.
Demonstrate a high
level of physical and mental resilience, as you will be
immersed in hands-on fieldwork within wetland
environments.
A positive attitude
and are comfortable spending extended periods wading through
water and mud, carrying field equipment, transporting gear via
kayak, and navigating challenging terrain in all weather
conditions.
An ability to manage
early morning starts, overnight fieldwork, and extended hours,
including occasional camping to support project
activities.
A willingness to
undertake manual tasks such as operating wetland regulators in
often challenging conditions.
Adaptability,
stamina, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, qualities
essential for success in this position.
Recent graduates and
candidates at the beginning of their career are encouraged to

What you
will need:
Tertiary degree
qualification (minimum) in Natural Resources Management,
Environmental Science or Biological Sciences is
essential.
Eligibility for this
position requires a valid Australian working visa.
Appointment will be
subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and South
Australian Working With Children Check.

Classification PO1 $73,533 min - $89,764 max p.a
Term
contract: Contract until 30 June **** (Potential for
extension)
