Job DescriptionRK Sandhu Transport Pty Ltd The Role As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, servicing vehicles and carrying out mechanical repairs while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.
Dismantle, inspect, repair and replace defective engine, transmission, steering, suspension and braking system components.
Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on petrol and diesel vehicles.
Repair and replace clutches, gearboxes, differentials and driveline components.
Test, repair and adjust ignition, fuel injection, cooling and exhaust systems.
Carry out wheel bearing, suspension, steering and brake repairs and adjustments.
Conduct post-repair testing to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate service records and report any additional repairs required.
Complete all work in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workplace procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop and comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
What We're Looking
For Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Experience servicing and repairing passenger and light commercial vehicles.
Sound knowledge of automotive systems, repair techniques and workshop equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive communication and organisational skills.
Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
