The prospect
We are in the market for an experienced and qualified
professional; Community Facility Planner.
You are

In this role, you will lead evidence-based planning that shapes
the future of sport, recreation and community infrastructure across
the City.
Working across strategy and delivery, you will translate
long-term planning into practical, actionable outcomes that support
capital investment, sustainable facility design, and community
wellbeing.
This is a unique opportunity to influence how community
infrastructure evolves, ensuring facilities are accessible,
fit-for-purpose, and responsive to both current and future
community needs.
To be successful in this role, you will
need:
A tertiary qualification in urban planning, community
infrastructure planning, recreation planning, project
management or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience (minimum 5 years) in facility
planning within local government or a similar environment.
Experience in needs assessment, feasibility studies, and
capital works planning.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical and research
skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare
reports for executive and Council audiences.
Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and work
collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

*The salary for this role commences at step 1, with
potential for movement within the range based on demonstrated
skills and experience.
Incremental progression typically occurs
at the conclusion of each 12-month period, in accordance with
the Industrial Agreement.
As part of our recruitment process, you will be
