We are particularly seeking applicants who can work a combination of:Day and afternoon shiftsWeekendsActive overnight shiftsInactive overnight/sleepover shiftsApplicants must be comfortable providing personal care and supporting participants with complex needs.
Experience with hoist transfers, Supported Independent Living (SIL) and overnight supports will be highly regarded.About the roleYou will support participants with physical, intellectual and psychosocial disabilities to live safely, independently and meaningfully.Responsibilities may include:Providing personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and toiletingCompleting manual handling and hoist transfersSupporting participants with meals, household tasks and daily routinesAssisting with community access, appointments and recreational activitiesEncouraging independence, confidence and skill developmentSupporting participants during active overnight and inactive sleepover shiftsFollowing participant support plans and risk-management proceduresCompleting accurate progress notes, incident reports and other documentationCommunicating professionally with participants, families and the broader support teamWhat we are looking forSuccessful applicants will ideally have:Previous disability support experienceExperience providing personal careExperience with hoists and manual handlingCertificate III or IV in Disability,
Individual Support or a related fieldA current NDIS Worker Screening CheckA current Working with Children CheckCurrent First Aid and CPR certificatesA current Victorian driver's licenceStrong communication and documentation skillsA qualified, compassionate and person-centred approachThe ability to work independently, take initiative and respond calmly to changing needsApplicants must be available for a genuine range of shifts.
