We're seeking a dedicated Casual Asbestos Removal Labourer to join our team—an exciting prospect to work with a business that values hard work, honesty, and a relentless drive to get the job done right.
The Role
As our Casual Asbestos Removal Labourer, you will perform hands-on tasks to safely remove non-friable (Class B) asbestos, prepare work sites, and handle waste, ensuring compliance with WorkSafe WA standards.
Your role is critical to maintaining our reputation for safe, high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities include:
Safely removing non-friable asbestos in accordance with the WA regulations and standards
Packaging and labelling asbestos waste in sealed, double-bagged containers for transport to licensed disposal facilities.
Operating and decontaminating equipment.
Participating in toolbox talks and safety meetings to maintain site-specific asbestos management plans.

Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with site supervisors and labourers, contributing to a positive, safety-focused culture.
Physical Fitness: Capability to work in varied conditions and wear PPE (e.g., respirators, coveralls) for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:
Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card) – essential.
Current Western Australian driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle – essential.
A Heavy Rigid (HR class) vehicle licence - highly valued but not essential.
Class B (non-friable) asbestos removal ticket (CPCCDE****) is highly valued but not essential (training provided).
Experience in asbestos removal, demolition, or construction is a plus but not required.
Willingness to travel to regional sites (e.g., Albany, Karratha, Kalgoorlie) as needed.
What We Offer
Competitive Pay: $35–$45 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading) plus 12% superannuation.
Flexible Hours: Casual role with 3–5 days per week (8–10 hours per day, typically 7:00 AM–5:00 PM), based on project demands, offering work-life balance.
Training and Development:
Comprehensive training in Class B asbestos removal (CPCCDE****) and asbestos awareness, provided by the Employer, to build your skills.

Project Variety: Work on diverse projects across Perth metro and regional WA, contributing to community safety.
Potential for Ongoing Work: Opportunity to transition to permanent roles or higher positions for high-performing team members.
Safety and Compliance
At Town and Country Asbestos Removal, safety is our priority.
You will:
Adhere to the Work Health and Safety Act ****, WHS Regulations ****, and Code of Practice: How to Safely Remove Asbestos.
Wear provided PPE (e.g., P2/P3 respirators, coveralls) and follow decontamination procedures.
Participate in health monitoring assessments, provided by a registered medical practitioner.
Report hazards or incidents immediately to your supervisor, ensuring compliance with our HSEC Policy and WorkSafe WA standards.
