We are assisting our highly regarded client located in Melbourne's inner west to source nursing staff for their well established Mental Health Unit. This Facility is approximately 10km from the CBD, known for its maritime history, hertiage buildings and city skyline views. The hospital is a very reputable facility offering a range of other services including emergency, surgical, renal dialysis and community.
The Position
This position is a permanent role for experienced Mental Health Nurses.
Provide appropriate mental health support, care, treatment and interventions to patients
Observe & assess the mental, emotional, physical needs of patients including the identification of "at risk" patients and record with appropriate and accurate documentation.
Care plan and discharge planning implementation
Display nursing skills that will be effective in alleviating patients distress which can manifest in challenging or at risk behavior.

Essential Criteria
Current registration with AHPRA
Experience & Post graduate qualification in Mental health desirable
Sound working Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
Police & criminal history check
Working with Children check if requested
immunisation health clearance prior to employment
Sponsorship applications accepted for international applicants
