The Opportunity
Mandurah's parks, reserves and public open spaces are at the
heart of our community, providing places for recreation, connection
and enjoyment.
As the City continues to invest in these spaces, we
are seeking a capable and motivated Project Officer to help plan,
deliver and improve a diverse range of projects and programs.
Working within the Landscape Management team, you will
contribute to public open space planning, asset management, signage
and memorial programs, and the delivery of projects that enhance
the City's parks and reserves.
You will work closely with internal
stakeholders, contractors, developers and the community to achieve
practical and lasting outcomes.
This role is being offered as a part-time position over the next
two years as part of a planned transition within the team.
We are
open to candidates with a range of experience levels.
For the right
person, this could provide an opportunity to progressively take on
broader responsibilities in the future.
Equally, experienced




candidates may bring specialist skills that complement the existing
role, allowing responsibilities to be shared and tailored to
maximise team outcomes.
With continued investment in parks, reserves and public open
space infrastructure, there is potential for the role to evolve
into a full-time position in the future.
To be successful in this role, you will
need:
Diploma in Horticulture, Landscape Design, Asset Management
or a related discipline.
Current unrestricted driver's licence.
Experience in project coordination, project delivery, parks
and reserves, landscape design, open space planning or a
related field.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication
skills.
Well-developed organisational, research and problem-solving
abilities.
Experience preparing technical documentation,
specifications, reports or scopes of works.
The ability to work collaboratively while managing
competing priorities.
