About the Role
This is a pivotal role within the AMDC team, combining customer engagement, trade sales, quoting, order management and relationship building.
As the first point of contact for many customers, you will play an important role in creating a positive customer experience while identifying opportunities to add value and grow sales.
Working closely with builders, cabinet makers, joiners, renovators, retailers and trade customers, you'll provide product advice, prepare quotations, process orders and ensure customers remain informed throughout the production and delivery process.
This role is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced setting and understands that every customer interaction is an opportunity to build trust and strengthen relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and face-to-face interactions
Provide product recommendations and technical advice based on customer requirements
Prepare accurate quotations and follow up opportunities proactively
Process sales orders and coordinate order fulfilment
Liaise with production, warehouse and delivery teams to ensure smooth outcomes
Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the order process
Develop and nurture relationships with trade and commercial customers
Maintain accurate customer records within CRM and ERP systems
Assist with showroom and front counter enquiries
Identify opportunities to increase customer engagement and sales outcomes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of customer service excellence, commercial awareness and strong organisational skills.
Ideally you will have:
Demonstrated experience in trade sales, customer service or sales support
Experience within manufacturing, building products, construction or a related industry will be highly regarded
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
A genuine customer-first approach with a focus on delivering exceptional service
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Experience using CRM and ERP systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
A positive, resilient and solutions-focused attitude
Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support others
Professional presentation and a commitment to quality outcomes
