About the role
The Senior Director of Corporate Strategy and Operations will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, responsible for translating high-level strategic objectives into detailed operational plans.
This role involves overseeing the execution of critical initiatives, particularly in areas such as financing, licensing, and business development, to support the company's growth and innovation pipeline.

What you'll do
Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive leadership to develop and refine operational plans that support the company's strategic priorities.
Lead the implementation of high-priority initiatives, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively across various departments.
Translate strategic goals into actionable tasks, timelines, and measurable objectives, providing clear guidance to teams involved in execution.
Monitor progress on key initiatives, using data and metrics to assess performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare and present regular reports to the CEO and leadership team, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Act as a central point of contact for communication among senior leaders, fostering transparency and alignment across the organization.
Develop and maintain operational processes that improve planning, communication, and accountability within the organization.
Support financing activities, including fundraising efforts, by coordinating efforts across teams and ensuring milestones are met to facilitate investor relations and strategic partnerships.




Assist in licensing negotiations and business development activities by providing strategic insights and coordinating cross-functional efforts to achieve licensing and partnership goals.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, offering strategic guidance and analytical insights to inform decision-making.
Anticipate organizational needs and proactively address potential challenges, balancing strategic vision with hands‐on operational management.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment on key initiatives and organizational priorities.
Drive continuous improvement in operational practices, leveraging best practices and lessons learned to optimize performance.
Support the company's growth initiatives by coordinating efforts related to strategic investments, partnerships, and other key business development activities.
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and high performance within the organization, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or advanced business degree is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 7 to 12 years of experience in strategy, business operations, corporate development, or related fields, with a focus on biotech or life sciences sectors.
Proven track record of translating strategic plans into operational actions and leading complex initiatives from inception through successful completion.
Experience working closely with senior executives, including the CEO, and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
Strong financial acumen, with experience in planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic decision‐making processes.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated leadership ability, with a hands‐on approach and a focus on results.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‐paced, high-growth workplace,



maintaining focus and delivering high‐quality work under tight deadlines.
Strong problem‐solving skills, with the capacity to anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions.
Experience in managing cross‐functional teams and fostering collaboration across departments.

Background in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sectors, with an understanding of industry‐specific challenges and opportunities.
Prior experience working directly with a CEO or senior leadership team in a high‐growth or venture‐backed environment.
Strong analytical capabilities, with experience structuring and managing complex, evolving projects.
Familiarity with the drug development process, regulatory considerations, or intellectual property management is a plus.
Ability to navigate ITAR regulations and other compliance requirements relevant to the industry.

Practical notes
The salary range for this position is between $217,000 and $275,000.
The final compensation package will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and fit for the role.
