About the role
Due to growth, and opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel has been created.
Reporting to a functional leader within the legal team, you will be involved in providing support in relation to significant infrastructure and development projects across Australia.
You will be responsible for providing commercially focused advice in relation to construction matters.
This is a diverse role, and you will work closely with the business on a wide range of projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing front-end construction matters for the development of new projects and the expansion of existing assets.
Drafting and negotiating maintenance and operational contracts.
Construction litigation, claims and disputes.
A strong risk-awareness and ability to negotiate and draft key terms which align with business policies and risk positions will contribute to your success in this role.
About you
You will be a senior construction lawyer with 15+ years' PQE.
You will have experience with a range of construction contract frameworks and possess the capability to quickly pick up a diverse range of matters.
You will be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team, particularly in multi-disciplinary project delivery environments.
